The Project Management Seminar - Workshop is a 3-day seminar is designed for individuals with little or no prior knowledge of project management but who are given tasks to study, propose, and implement a project.

This seminar will teach them how to create a plan, budget, schedule, monitor progress, and manage risks. The workshop will show them how to spearhead every stage of a project, from developing goals and objectives to managing project teams. They will learn the essential steps in defining goals, setting up project plans, assigning and scheduling work, monitoring progress, and exercising control to achieve the desired project results. Moreover, they will learn how to define the limits of their project scope, determine its full costs and value, and duration to help them in proposing and presenting their projects.

At the end of the workshop, participants should be able to:

  • Define a project and a program
  • Describe the differences between project and functional management
  • Develop a project charter
  • Develop project requirements
  • Develop project organizational structures, leadership
  • Develop a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)
  • Perform a network analysis
  • Develop schedules using the Gantt chart
  • Develop a risk management plan
  • Control project budgets and schedules using Earned Value Analysis
  • Develop Project Closure Report
  • Apply the appropriate planning and control principles in dealing with a wide array of project management issues
