CORE Competence is a webinar series in partnership with TELUS International University (TIU) to provide high-quality and relevant continuing education for their employees. The webinars for January to March 2023 aim to help professionals develop competencies on problem solving, stress tolerance, integrity and teamwork.
Outline
1. STRESS TOLERANCE: Managing your Thoughts to Combat Stress (January 19, 7:30-9pm)
In this webinar, participants will understand stress better, identify his or her stressors, and learn techniques to cope with stress.
Objectives: By the end of the webinar, participants should gain basic understanding of:

- Rumination, Irrational Thoughts, Negative self-talk
- ABCDE Model of Staying Optimistic
- Other ways of coping with stress

2. INTEGRITY: Being a Good Human Being in the Workplace (February 23, 7:30-9pm)
In this webinar, participants will revisit the crucial elements of personal growth: unity of ideals, attitudes, values, and dispositions manifested in one’s words and deeds, to create a personal growth and development plan.
Objectives: By the end of the webinar, participants should gain basic understanding of:
